Machinery and Transport
As ever, we have a very wide range of activities and displays
for technical or transport enthusiasts.

At the fair you will see a variety of Classic tractors on display that cover a number of decades of agricultural history. They current include a 1955 Ferguson, which was recently restored after spending 25 years on a local allotment; a 1942 Ford (9 Nan) found in a local scrap yard in Denham, Suffolk, which came to the UK on the Land Lease Scheme from the USA during world war II. Also on display will be a very local 1955 Ferguson originally bought from Boggis Engineering of Halesworth.

Classic Cars & Motor Cycles |
The cars at Heveningham are all manufactured between 1929 and the late 1970s and included several rarely seen examples of motoring history.
These include a 1928 Donnet G2; a Chevrolet National 4 door saloon imported from New Zealand; a 1938 Rolls Royce, Sedanca De Ville; a 1929 Austin Heavy 12 that once raced at Silverstone and a 1936 Mercedes 170 Cabrolet which has feature in a number of war films.
We welcome owners of vintage cars and if you are interest in exhibiting you will find the application forms online.
There will be a number of motor cycles on display including those belonging to the members of the East Coast Harley Club.

Steam Engines |
Before cars, hovercraft and model aeroplanes were invented, steam power was the driving force behind transport and agriculture.
We have an example of a fully-operational steam traction engine at the Fair.
Static Engines |
Exhibiting at the Heveningham Fair are a number of stationary engines ranging from 1920 Lister J to a 1948 Lister DK. All are working engines demonstrating the power of the past. These include the smallest ‘M’ type Petter engine from 1928 driving a water pump.

Classic Fire engines |
We hope to bring you a number of classic fire engines.
Kit Cars |

Sterling Helicopters |
We're delighted to welcome Sterling Helicopters to the fair, who will be operating pleasure flights over the estate from a helipad on the edge of the lake.
The outstanding visibility of a helicopter, without wings to mask the view makes it the ideal way of seeing the beautiful East Anglian countryside, Norfolk Broads and coastline.
