MAIN RING & EXHIBITS
The main ring offers an array of events throughout the day providing an exciting focal point. Outside the main ring there are many other attractions including the Sheep Show, a Rabbit Show, music, many children's entertainments and much more. Below are a few of the attractions we have this year:
Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
Main Ring
We are delighted to announce that the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight have agreed to provide a flypast by a Hurricane or Spitfire. The collection of historic aircraft which forms part of the nation's heritage, is based at RAF Coningsby.
Weather and Serviceability permitting, this will provide us with a most memorable occasion.
James Dylan's Stuntworld
Main Ring
James Dylan has performed stunts all over the world and accumulated five world records on the way. He has got together a team of the most talented riders that will amaze you with their unbelievable skills that include Ramp Jumps, Wheelies, Stoppies and many more remarkable stunts that need to be seen to be believed!
Ye Olde Redtail Falconry
Main Ring
Unique and exciting Falconry Display with an assortment of owls, hawks, falcons and vultures flow to music, lots of audience participation, a compelling commentary and a chance to find out what it's like to be a Mouse!
Rockin' Horse Show
Main Ring
As seen at the British Open Jump Championship, most spectacular equestrian Stunt Show, hold on to your seats and hats when they ride their horses over fire while standing on their backs and climb under the belly of their mounts while galloping across the arena!
Waveney Harriers
Main Ring
The pack began as foxhounds privately owned by the Freestone Family. After the mastership of Sir Savile Crossley. BT (later Lord Somerleyton) 1881-1888 the Earl of Stradbroke purchased them and they took the title of the Henham Harriers. In 1954 the Henham were reorganised as the Waveney Valley and in 1960 they became as in their early days, The Waveney Harriers.
Steamboat Rides
Enjoy a ride on Mr. Webster’s restored 1897 steamboat.
Suffolk Punches
Main Ring
The Suffolk Punch is the oldest breed of working horse in the world and is unique in its chesnut colour.
Zahara Belly Dancers
Orangery Area
Zahara Belly Dance is made up of dancers from amongst Henrietta's belly dance classes which take place in and around Ipswich. The dances include a beautiful veil dance and several lively folkloric style dances with influences from Morocco and Upper Egypt.
Live music from 'Twisted Piglet'
Lake Area
Twisted Piglet will be performing near the lake. Their focus is to entertain the public with their own original music. They won Bury Sound 2010!
Victoria Carriages
Front of House
Enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride in the grounds of Heveningham Hall.
Bungee Trampoline
Children's Area
Children have the opportunity to experience an extreme sport whilst having fun and it is a great confidence booster and learning tool.
Little Rovers
Children's Area
Under supervision adventurous youngsters can drive battery driven scale Land Rovers around a mini off road course.
Flower Show
This year's theme for flower arrangers is "Celebrations" and there are growers classes for the green-fingered. So come on all you flower arrangers and gardeners, here's your chance to show off your talents!
UK Bungee Club
Children's Area
Have you a taste for adventure, then why don't you try bungee jumping 160ft! For those unsure of heights and apprehensive it can build confidence and create totally unique feelings of euphoria. 12 to 6pm.
High Lodge Clay Pigeon Shoot

Suffolk School of Samba
The Suffolk School of Samba brings the magic of the carnival to the Fair once again. Dancers and drummers performing all kinds of African and Brazilian music with accompanying choreography.

Dog Show and Terrier Racing

Enter your dog in the 'waggiest tail' or one of our other fun classes or bring your terrier along for an entertaining race!
Sheep Show
Near Children’s Area
Not to be missed - a humourous, educational, live stage show all about sheep.
Raft Racing
Teams from the village, estate and the Hall compete for the coveted 'Raft Race Trophy' presented by Lotty Barbour of Cratfield Beef. Join the teams as they race across a demanding course set on the main lake. See rules.
Walking Water Balls
Orangery area and Lake
Giant human hamster balls, where you try to stand and walk in a water tight ball on water. Great for people of any age group!
Alpacas
Stable Area
Melford Green have established one of the finest Alpacas herds within Britain. Come and meet these wonderful animals and learn more about them. www.melfordgreenalpacas.co.uk
Gun Dog Scurry

Bring your dog to have some fun or watch other dogs trying to retrieve the dummy from the lake.
Punch & Judy
Orangery
Children come and enjoy this traditional puppet show following the antics of Mr Punch and his wife Judy.
Lowestoft & Yarmouth Poultry Exhibition
Lake
A large variety of different breeds of poultry and eggs for sale.
Raft Race Rules
Racing: 11:30am for the raft trophy race and 2.00pm for the relay race. Rafts MUST be dropped off on Saturday. Practice will be available during the afternoon. Rafts must be home made. No mechanical or moving parts or sails. All competitors must sign a disclaimer and provide a life jacket. Judge's decision will be final.
Nature Walks with Steve Piotrowski (Author of "The Birds of Suffolk")
A unique opportunity to view the ongoing enhancements to nature being introduced on to the Heveningham Estate
The Heveningham Estate has adopted a long term aim, to further enhance it’s existing beauty by embracing nature and improving it with a passion that is to be both appreciated and admired.
The Estate is already recording the benefits of their works with diversity of species increasing on an annual basis. It is however, important that the area be an undisturbed as possible, it is for this reason that guided walks by Steve Piotrowski are being limited in number.
Places can be reserved in advance.
Tickets £5 per person including tea/coffee and cake to follow (all proceeds will be donated to charity)
