The Country Fair Trust
The Heveningham Hall Country Fair was first held in 1996 as a small joint event between the villages of Heveningham, Huntingfield, Cratfield, Cookley and Walpole in order to raise much needed funds for their churches. From being like a very small village fete it has grown into a full day of events and activities attracting thousands of visitors.
We now also hold a very popular bonfire and fireworks display each year in November.
ALL the proceeds from both these events go to the Heveningham Hall Charitable Trust which has been set up to ensure that the funds raised benefit the local community as effectively as possible. However it is due to the support of the public and the tireless help from our team of volunteers that make this possible. We are also delighted this year to have been able to incorporate Laxfield into our remit which means that we are able to reach even more of the community.
Over the years, in addition to supporting church funds, we have been able to make substantial donations to many local causes and projects. These have included £10,000 to the Halesworth Community Nurses for specialist equipment to help with the care of terminally ill patients in their own homes; sports and music equipment for Laxfield Primary School; equipment and funding for Stepping Stones Pre-school and generous donations towards much needed community projects within the six villages.
We are extremely grateful for your help and hope that you thoroughly
enjoy the Fair.
